Questions on hair transplant

Are hair transplants permanent ?

Yes, hair transplantation is permanent. Even the baldest man still has some residual hair at the back of his head. These hairs are permanent. This is why we use these hairs in transplantation.

Preoperative instructions

Three weeks prior to your transplant:
1. Do not cut your hair shorter than 1 centimetre;
2. Stop using Vitamin E pills or creams.

One week prior to your transplant:
1. Smoke as little as possible;
2. Stop drinking alcohol:
3. Stop taking Aspirin, Entrophen, Novasen;
4. Stop taking the following medications :

The night before your transplant:
1. Do not eat too large a super;
2. Go to bed at your usual hour.

The morning of your transplant:
1. Eat your usual breakfast;
2. Wear comfortable clothing;
3. You can bring your favourite music, cd’s or dvd’s;
4. You can bring some snacks and juices;
5. If you are undergoing a hair transplant, you can bring a cap, hat or scarf, to cover your head after your procedure;
6. If you are undergoing a eyelash or eyebrow transplant, you may choose to bring sunglasses to hide your transplant;
7. You cannot drive after your procedure. You must plan for somebody to accompany you home.
